Join Lenore Wiand for an experience of transcendent music through the ancient flutes of the Americas. These sacred sounds awaken and connect us to the deepest part of our beings, taking us on a personal journey of what some have called a profoundly deep touching of the Sacred, the Soul, for powerful healing and transformation.
Lenore Wiand, PhD is a psychologist and researcher focused on ancient sacred sounds and their use for healing. Her work has been researched and shown to expand states of consciousness, affect blood cells, and facilitate healing of trauma. She has worked at University of Michigan's Dept of Integrative Medicine and has traveled and played extensively throughout North and South America. Working in this field for over 20 years, she has created the music on her CD, “Ancient Spirits”, under the name Aluna, which is known for its ability to quickly move people into an awareness and sense of the sacred and a place of expanded consciousness.
Many of you have experienced the depth of these workshops with Lenore and will be drawn to again commune within Sacred Sound. If you have not, we hope you will consider attending. It is an experience that is hard to communicate but impossible to forget.
We will be working/lying on the floor so please bring a Yoga Mat or other soft mat of some kind, a blanket or afghan, and wear comfortable clothing. Lunch can be brown bag or you can go out. No kitchen amenities available.

Summer Solstice, sometimes known as Midsummer, Litha, or St. John’s Day, occurs in the middle of June. It is a celebration of the longest day of the year and has been an occasion for a grand tribal gathering since ancient times. In those days, people understood that the Goddess manifests as Mother Earth and the God as the Sun King. It is a festival of community sharing and planetary service. We will have a ceremonial bonfire and drumming. So bring your noise making tools!
Registration is not required, but is appreciated.

In recent years there has been a radically increased interest in the Mayan calendar and especially its end in 2012, and so, many ask what that tells us about the future. Some people have an intuitive sense that the end of the Mayan calendar will bring a shift in consciousness. The waves of consciousness brought by the Mayan calendar are thought by many to define the framework of our existence and what we may or may not be able to create in any given era.
The name Conscious Convergence, which begins on July 17-18, 2010, alludes to the Harmonic Convergence, a mind-opening gathering on August 17-18, 1987. The important commonality between the two Convergences is that they both reflect energy shifts that herald the respective transformations of consciousness brought by these waves. Put in other terms: What the Harmonic Convergence meant to the quantum jump to the eighth wave, the Conscious Convergence will mean to the quantum jump to the ninth wave.
This ninth level of the universe is designed to generate unity consciousness. The manifestation of unity consciousness brought by the ninth level will require an intention on the part of human beings to co-create this. The Conscious Convergence is for those that are willing to set the intention to create unity consciousness in the ninth wave of the Mayan calendar system.
A shift to unity consciousness is one that transcends the dualities of the past and aids human beings to see the unity of all things. This kind of unity consciousness can be beneficial to the planet, and to mankind, in that it leads to the transcendence of all separation (between man and woman, man and nature, ruler and ruled, east and west, etc). As the Hopi saying goes, “we are the ones that we have been waiting for.” If we make the commitment to do so, we can co-create unity consciousness with the ninth wave. As the student of the law of attraction will know, all manifestation begins with an intention, and without an intention there is no result. The Conscious Convergence, A Wave of Unity, is for all those who intend to manifest unity consciousness.
